The Holy Trinity

There is only one living and true God who exists in three equal divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Father eternally planned all things and is working to fulfill that plan to the glory of his name; the Son existed eternally with the Father and became man, in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, so that he may live a sinless life of perfect righteousness, die to atone for the sins of his people, rise bodily and ascend to heaven where he serves as high priest and advocate for his people; the Holy Spirit applies to believers the benefits achieved by Jesus Christ, dwelling in them to purify them and preserve them till the end. (Matthew 3:16-17; Ephesians 1:3-14; 3:14-19; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 2:14-18; 4:14-16).
